Excellence within organisations and project delivery across the construction sector will be celebrated at the 2019 British Construction Industry Awards.

The awards ceremony – a highlight of the sector’s corporate calendar – will take place in London on October 9. It is expected to draw a 1,000-strong crowd.

Judging, which is undertaken by senior industry leaders representing clients, architects, designers and contractors, has been taking place over the last few months.

This year’s judging panel includes PCSG’s Olly Thomas. Olly, our Business Development Director, has been assessing the Digital Transformation Initiative of the Year (civil engineering and buildings) categories.

Digital processes and tools including Building Information Modelling (BIM) are today gaining traction, helping the industry to shed its long-held reputation for inefficiency.

Their uptake has been spearheaded by PCSG’s chairman, Mark Bew, who chaired the development of the UK Government BIM Strategy and more recently, led the launch of Digital Built Britain, the Level 3 BIM programme.

At PCSG we are at the forefront of the digitalisation drive, helping organisations in the UK and internationally to unlock financial and social benefits at all stages of the asset lifecycle through adopting a data-driven, collaborative approach.

Our ground-breaking solutions and services are enabling asset owners and operators – including HS2 – to harness rich data to optimise the value of their assets.
