PCSG’s senior consultant Steve Thompson will be speaking at Digital Construction Week this month. His speech will look at the opportunities and challenges facing the future for the construction product manufacturing industry, as it embraces the growing shift towards digitalisation and the use of smart technologies.
“As we know, both construction and manufacturing are set to undergo major changes – the use of automation, a greater availability and exchange of data as we further embrace BIM Level 2/3 plus the development of the Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, cloud computing and digitally-enabled, optimised supply chains will all deliver tangible benefits” explains Steve.
Steve will also be talking about the possibilities this will bring for a circular construction economy and the associated reduction in waste, alongside the opportunities to reduce cost and boost quality.
Steve Thompson will present “The Future of Manufacturing 4.0” during Day 1 of Digital Construction Week on 26th October at 1640. The event focuses on innovation in the built environment and is being held at London’s Business Design Centre, Islington from 26-27 October.
