Policy Statement

This is the Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy Statement of Professional Construction Strategies Group Limited (PCSG). PCSG is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business. This Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy statement reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place.

PCSG has a responsibility to be alert to the risks of slavery and human trafficking in our business and in our work with third party vendors and suppliers. Thus, employees are expected to report such concerns and management are expected to act upon them.

Our business

Formed originally in 2000, Professional Construction Strategies Group (PCSG) is a niche SME consultancy business with bases in the UK and Australia and a branch office in Hong Kong. With a background firmly based in the construction industry we operate in the public and private sectors with clients including HM Government and major blue chip companies. We employ a team of dedicated specialists in the fields of leading edge built environment related digital technology, the design, construction and operation of built assets and holistic sustainability (financial, social and environmental).

We provide a diverse range of services geared towards delivering targeted improvements and building the short, medium and long term resilience of our clients’ organisations. This includes, for example, working in partnership with clients to solve their business issues and create value through their information and data. We also work with major construction companies to help them bid for and win major infrastructure and building projects. Clients also engage us to support the delivery of innovative transformation and change programmes which often involves the development of new strategies, management systems, processes, tools and procedures including achieving certification to recognised industry standards.

Our partners, sub-consultant & suppliers

We have partner companies who provide software solutions and services that form part of our GeoConnect+ data integration platform along with the provision of technology applications.

Our sub-consultants provide specialist consultancy services to support delivery of our assignments for our clients. Our suppliers are only permitted to sub-contract work with our approval.

Suppliers are restricted to providing office equipment and materials.

Partners, sub-consultants & supplier adherence to our values

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We expect all those that we engage in business with to comply with our values and the law. We require this contractually with our partners and sub-consultants.

We purchase office supplies and equipment from UK based suppliers following our Responsible Procurement Policy. Given the low volume of products bought, our approach is to select suppliers who align to our values.

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and with our customers, third party vendors and suppliers, we will include training and this Policy to all relevant individuals and entities.

All employees have been informed of PCSG’s expectations regarding slavery and human trafficking via our integrated management system.

Ongoing management and review

We use the following to measure how effective we have been to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or with our vendors or suppliers:

  • Completion of internal audits as part of our ISO9001 certified Quality Management System.
  • Undertake due diligence of potential partners/vendors to assess potential modern slavery and human trafficking risks. Where risks are identified PCSG will verify that the vendor has compliant processes and procedures in place to manage the risks prior to confirming their status as a supply chain partner and or appointing them to work with us.
  • Monitor compliance of purchasing products in line with our Responsible Procurement Policy.
  • Communication and training regarding this policy statement and the expected behaviours to our employees, vendors and suppliers.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes PCSG’s modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year
