Heathrow Q6 Behavioural Assessment
Social Sustainability
PCSG provided tailored workshops to prepare our client for behavioural assessment, resulting in the award of a framework for major airport works.
For the Heathrow Q6 tender, a rigorous behavioural assessment formed part of the bidding process, comprising a Constructability Workshop, Leadership Team Interviews and a Delivery Team Workshop.
PCSG was employed by our client to prepare the bid team for assessment.
From research and industry knowledge, Dr Julie Bullen and Phil Hart determined that the Constructability Workshop would be based on real constructability issues in live designs, and would be assessing our team’s ability to deal with the interface between designers and contractors in a collaborative manner.
Practise scenarios were devised based on live designs, assessing collaboration both within and between teams.
The teams also practiced presenting their constructability issues to senior members of the company, playing the role of the Client.
For the Leadership Interviews, we ran practise interviews to test their ability to lead a culture of collaborative working, and we provided coaching and feedback.
The preparation for the Delivery Team Workshop comprised scenarios based on potential delivery issues in an Airport environment, emphasising the importance of integration between delivery teams from different suppliers.
This increased focus on both their own team’s delivery and success over the whole integrated project.
As a result of the team’s hard work and Julie and Phil’s commitment to the success of the bid, the team scored highly on the behavioural assessment and went on to be awarded a place on the Heathrow Q6 contract.
